It seems that there will not be

new Michelin-starred restaurants in

Singapore, at least in the near future!

The 2020 Michelin Guide in Singapore

has been cancelled due to long

periods of restaurant closure in Singapore.

Because one of the criteria is

'consistency between visits',

the Michelin inspectors found it difficult

to pay visits to restaurants who were closed

during circuit breaker, or did not allow dine-ins.

As a result, Michelin will be delaying

the guide, instead choosing to announce

selections for the 2021 edition,

which will be announced

'in the upcoming months'.

It is worthy to note that not all

version of the 2020 guide were cancelled,

as Taiwan's and Guangzhou's guides

were released on schedule.
