"We have reached the breaking point in Catalonia. We are at the nadir, rock bottom, the point where change is needed and unavoidable. The club’s first season without winning a single trophy since 2007-08. Whether they be virtual, waiving from home, or whatever witty tag line you want to attach to it, the white handkerchiefs are waiving."

Dude, I can't imagine Barca without Messi tbh... if Messi leaves, it will certainly be an end of an era.

Definitely! Though, Barcelona needs to find a successor to the Messi-reliant system they currently have so perhaps it is time for Messi leave for greener pastures and for Barcelona to undergo a rebuild

Barcelona is in dire need of a restructure at the team-level. In the last 5 years of the Champions League tournament, the champions have either been Real Madrid or the team that has knocked out Barcelona in the knockout stages, going on to win everything (Liverpool last year and now Bayern Munich!)!
