Start with a bean powder rice cake,

even the exotic tapioca rice cake!

When we want to eat rice cake in Singapore,

Where should we go?

In this posting,

I've compared several rice cake shops in Singapore.

Let's tour the 'walnut tree(Hodu namu)' first!

Walnut tree is near Outram Park station.
It's located in Everton Park.

There are many different types of rice cakes such as

'Injeolmi(roasted-bean rice cake)',

honey rice cake, castella rice cake, etc.

The most popular rice cake here is the white rice cake with honey in it.
it's called 'Ssook Seol Ki' (honey rice cake with mugwort)

This rice cake has the scent of mugwort in it,

and it is said that the sweetness of honey is addictive as you can feel as you chew it!

This shop uploads the kinds of rice cakes prepared

on Instagram (@hodunamu0155) every day,

so I recommend you to refer to them and visit them :)

Let's go to the next rice cake shop!

One of the most popular rice cake restaurants in Singapore is 'Bengawan Solo'.

The shop is also located in several locations, making it accessible:)

The colorful rice cakes that can be found here are made of

tapioca, palm, and coconut!

The rice cakes here taste a little different from Korean rice cakes

and boast a sweeter or unique texture.

In particular, Ongol Ubi, which is popular, is a chewy rice cake with coconut powder after steaming tapioca,

and it is popular with everyone of all ages.

Next, I'll introduce you to Yong's Teochew Kueh,

a Chinese dessert shop!

In this shop in Serang County,

they sell desserts that look similar to dumplings.

The rice cakes here have a chewy texture

as the thin dough of flour covers vegetables~

If you open the rice cake, cool it down, and eat it with the sauce,

you can feel the chewy and savory taste more strongly:)

Now, shall we move to another Korean-style rice cake restaurant?

It's a 'Bosong' rice cake shop!

This is the most basic Korean rice cake shop in Singapore!

Recently, this shop has also introduced very unique and trendy menus

such as blueberry jam, cheese, and rice cake with Oreo on Instagram.

I can see that they are always studying new flavors and designs on rice cakes. :-)

It's a Korean rice cake shop that also produces

a variety of design rice cake sets!
