These days, we're tired of staying home, but it can be hard to find non-crowded places to chill by yourself!
We're here to help! Today, we will introduce 4 places where you can chill in Singapore, with a good mix of pretty locations and relaxing vibes!
Are you ready? Let's get it!
1. Cook & Tras Social Library
One word : Wow.
A step into this library and you would think that you teleported to Hogwarts, or a posh mansion.
Don't be fooled, however, as this is actually a 3,000-book library, complete with food and beverage options.
Whether you're just looking for a cuppa, or want to relax with a pint or glass of wine, you'll find a multitude of options here.
They also have incredible food!
There's also power-points and free Wi-Fi, and coupled with 7am to 12 midnight opening hours, it's the perfect place to work on stuff!
It is located at 2 Cook Street, a few minutes away from Tanjong Pagar MRT station!
2. ARTEASTIQ
An increasingly popular spot for brunch and high-tea among locals and foreigners alike!
This tea house also doubles up as an art jamming studio!
What better way to chill than to Bob Ross yours worries away, cup of tea in hand?
Arteastiq's Social Painting Studio is located in Mandarin Gallery, near Somerset MRT.
3. ABC Cooking Studio
If you enjoy the culinary arts, ABC Cooking Studio is the best place for you!
Learn simple and easy-to-follow recipes with prepared ingredients and helpful chefs - even inexperienced cooks (like I am) can relax and enjoy the joys of cooking with their straightforward sessions.
You start with raw ingredients, but before you know it, you'll have a delicious treat to bring home and enjoy (after showing it off on social media, of course!)
They have locations in Funan, Takashimaya and Westgate, so go to the one nearest to you!
4. The Daily Press
One of my favourite places for all-day brunch and chill vibes, The Daily Press whips up delicious beverages and desserts, and has a limited menu of sandwiches and mains as well!
There's nothing quite like hunkering down here with a good book and some drinks and/or light snacks
Try their Korean 'Fried' Chicken sandwich, made with spicy chicken, house-made Kimchi on Ciabatta bread!
I highly recommend it!
It's a short walk from Braddell station, but there's news that it's closed. I'm not sure if that's true (it's been awhile since I went there), so do check before you head down!
Those are 4 of the BEST places to CHILL by yourself in Singapore!
Stay safe, and remember to follow proper safe-distancing measures when you go to these places!
