Yesterday (20th August) at about 4:40pm, a breaking news report trended number 1 in South Korea.

The title? Simply 'Kim Yo-Jong delegated some ruling power. This is not a decision for leadership succession.'

This power was later revealed to be that of managing South Korean and US affairs.

However, this sent a frenzy to netizens, with the strange wording and brief contents igniting serious discussions.

The top comment states a theory - that North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un was using body doubles and had actually passed away.

Kim Jong Un supposedly has multiple body doubles in order to thwart assassination attempts.

Another theory is that the North Korean leader had been very ill, and simply needed to delegate work to lessen his workload.

Officially, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of Korea denied that the leader has any serious health issues.

Kim Jong Un still holds the absolute power, but some of his rule has been slowly transferred, likely due to stress.

A possible reason could also be so that he can shift the blame of failed national policies.

Coming after a sudden emergency meeting, and admitting to the failure of North Korea's country plans, the world is certainly watching for more developments.
