With news of Korea imposing stricter measures

to curb their spike in coronavirus cases,

many were wondering if things will spiral

out of control in the nation.

Fortunately, their tough restrictions seem

to be paying off at the moment.

Banning sit-in dining at some establishments,

and tightening operation hours are part of the

measures taken to get Korea back on track.

However, with the looming Chuseok

(Korea Mid-Autumn Festival) period coming soon,

authorities are advising against the traditional

acts of visiting families for the celebrations.

The festival is one of Korea's biggest holiday

celebrations, and is a three-day holiday in Korea.

Millions of Koreans would flock to their hometowns

to celebrate with friends and family,

which authorities advised can be a problem for

virus control.

For now, though, we can breathe a sigh

of relief for the precautionary measures working.
