The Singapore government is known to

enjoy implementing new technologies

wherever and whenever they can,

but this might be the first them they

tried an initiative like this!

In a relatively unprecedented move,

the Singapore government announced a

2-year partnership with Apple

for 'LumiHealth', built around

tracking and rewarding healthy behaviour

using an Apple Watch and iPhone!

This comes after Apple's recent

'Time Flies' event, where the company

announced their new Series 6 Apple Watch,

which can measure blood oxygen saturation.

As part of the scheme, Singapore residents

will be able to earn as much as S$380

in rewards when they complete objectives in the app.

These include simply walking/jogging,

to doing yoga or swimming.

The LumiHealth app also offers coaching

programs, as well as reminders for individual

health needs (health checkups, etc), and will

be used to alert for the availability

of COVID-19 vaccines.
