Jang Won
Korean buffet/bbq restaurant, Jangwon, has a promotion for those who need to fill their bellies with Korean food! Craving Korean food but the price is just too high? Jangwon's Korean A La Carte Buffet will definitely take care of that for you. Enjoy all your favorite a la carte Korean food dishes, at a shocking buffet price!
[Interior]
Unlike more stylized interiors of most Korean restaurants today, Jangwon's interior is simple and clean. I was greeted warmly by none other than the owner himself!
[Good mood]
Once you order one appetizer and one soup dish, the BBQ menu is free for your choosing, unlimited! Some dishes like steamed pork, which are $25 on the A La Carte menu, can be enjoyed unlimited to your hearts content!
[Side Dishes]
Once you order, the side dishes come out!
[$10 Soju]
If you order the buffet, you get soju at $10! Can't miss this deal!
[Army Stew]
For our choice of soup dish, we ordered everyone's favorite army stew. The portion is amazing! Can easily feed three to four people!
[Chive Pancake]
For our appetizer, we picked chive pancake it has a very clean and refreshing taste under the layer of deep fried batter. We were worried we wouldn't be able to finish!
[Woo Sam-gyub]
A beef brisket dish that is slightly on the salty side, so it is best had with rice.
[Pork Belly]
The BBQ menu is grilled in the kitchen! It is not the real Korean BBQ experience, but I like this method because there is no smell and easy to eat!
[Spicy JokBal]
This is the jokbal (pork trotter) that I can rave about! It is very unique thanks to its sauce, it really is a must try. I'm not great at handling spicy food, but it was just spicy enough to enjoy the spicy flavor yet not be too overwhelmed. Compared to the other dishes, this one also goes the best with soju.
[Jokbal Salad]
The vinaigrette dressing was a refreshing touch compared to the rest of the more heavy dishes on the buffet menu.
[Spicy Salad]
Best to eat with rice! A usually price dish for what it's worth, I had no regrets ordering this since it was buffet!
[Chicken Galbi]
Thick gravy was cooked into the sauce very long, it's obvious!
After eating all that, it was $40 nett per pax! For how many different dishes we ate,
I don't think you can find this kind of variety and price
anywhere else in singapore!
This buffet promotion isn't going anywhere anytime soon, enjoy it while you can :)
