There are so many Korean restaurants in Singapore.
Prominent especially in Tanjong Pagar, Korean cuisine is taking over the little red dot.
Of course, majority of the restaurants are BBQ.
Our last visit to 'The BBQ House' (The Gogijip) we introduced the beef intestine and ribs.
This time, we will show you the many different Korean dishes they serve!
[Pork Trotter]
Gogijib's latest dish, steamed pork trotter, is cut thin and hearty. It is down to personal preference, but thinner pork is usually lighter and less oily since more grease is evaporated in the steaming process.
[Great Portion Size]
Can you see the giant portion? It's hard to find pork trotter this good!
[Pork Cutlet]
Koreans all love a good pork cutlet because it is a childhood dish for many. The breading stays crispy thanks to its thinness, and is decorated with Korean style tonkatsu sauce. Also included are refreshing sides to help your palette It is also a personal favorite nostalgic food of mine, and the 'BBQ House' replicated the cutlets of old that I used to enjoy!
[A nostalgic dish]
The salad is also dressed with a sweet Korean mayonnaise.
[Crispy thin layer]
[Beef Pancake]
Korean beef pancake is not exactly a pancake. It is slices of beef coated in the Korean pancake batter that everyone loves! It makes for a very savory and chewy delight. The batter is a light coating, so it is not too oily with the beef. It's a combination that is so easy to love! Definitely helped by the premium quality of beef, the dish was a welcome and delicious surprise. Don't let the price tag of this dish scare you.
[Seasoned Green Onion]
Beef pancakes are best coupled with the included seasoned green onions. Sweet, sour, and spicy, on just the right levels, it helps alleviate the potential greasiness of the beef.
[Beef Sashimi Bibimbap]
Beef sashimi? In bibimbap? That's right, a Korean delicacy meets a Korean staple dish! Korean beef sashimi comes in a very savory sesame marinade, which perfectly compliments bibimbap naturally.
[Hearty Yolk]
A dish that requires the freshest ingredients, 'The BBQ House' is making a statement of their meat quality with this dish. Definitely a very unique must try!
