Watches are highly personal items, and no outfit is truly complete without one! You've heard of Swiss-made and Japan-made watches, but what you might not have known is that Korea has their fair share of watch brands as well! Today, we would like to recommend 7 Korean watch brands to adorn your wrist.

Let's get it!

1. Romanson (로만손)

Let’s start off with one of the more famous Korean watch brands, Romanson. Romanson was founded in 1988 and has been one of the top Korean watch producers ever since. They usually make more unique pieces and focus on the mid level Korean market. Their timepieces are relatively inexpensive for their quality, so it is definitely a pick for the best Korean watch brands!

2. Foce (포체)

A fairly newer brand, having started in 1997, Foce creates mostly budget fashion watches with a few nicer pieces rounding out their collections. For you sports fans, they have a collaboration with Tottenham Hotspur, with timepieces specific for each player (no guesses as to which is the most popular in Korea)! The watches themselves look very stylish, and certainly not tacky like some sports team-collaborated pieces either!

3.Tisell (티셀)

Tisell has been recognized in recent years for their Submariner clone, but they do build a lot of other watches as well. There isn’t much info around their origins but my guess is they started around 2011. They are well loved on Reddit, and being one of the best Korean watch brands, will make a stylish addition to your watch collection.

4. Harriot (해리엇)

Harriot is an interesting brand, as its run by a huge corporation in Korea (신세계, a department store) and tries to make itself an older brand than it appears. Harriot claims their watches are designed based on famous bridges in Korea, although if I am honest, I can’t tell that from the design of the watches themselves. The watches are fairly nice looking though and are handmade.

5. Dogfight (독파이트)

Much like its name, which means a battle between two aircraft in the sky, Dogfight makes watches with a military-themed aesthetic - more specifically, pilot's watches from World War 2! We think that they nail the look really well, and fit right in with the military-chic look that is popular nowadays. Who would have thought that a Korean watch brand would pull off a quintessential British style so well?

6. Rolens (로렌스)

A Rolens watch, along with other presdential timepieces.

Rolens is one of the oldest Korean watch companies dating back to the 1950s. They are most notable for creating 2 presidential watches (for Presidents Roh Moo-Hyun and Lee Myung-Bak). Nowadays they mostly make gold-coloured Rolex clones that don't look too good (in my opinion), and if you buy one, it will mostly be you buying into the heritage of the brand besides everything else.

Those are 6 Korean watch brands that you might not have known about, and would make perfect additions to your watch collection! Let us know in the comments if you want to purchase any of these for yourself!
