Coronavirus woes in Italy were not enough to deter Korean celebrities from visiting the city of Milan for the vaunted Milan Fashion Week!

Korean celebrities IU, Lisa and Song Hye-kyo were spotted at the event, posting pictures on their Instagram accounts!

It was also reported that they have been staying at the same hotel, even venturing into the city in scattered groups at times. It is unclear whether they have conducted checks for the coronavirus.

This made some fans very concerned, as the city of Milan is geographically close to the epicenter of the outbreaks. With Italy experiencing over 2,500 cases of the coronavirus, it has sent some cities into lockdown. However, the event was not called off, with some fashion designers choosing instead to self-quarantine upon returning to their home country.

Fellow K-pop idol Chungha also attended the event in Italy. On 2 Mar, 2 of her staff members were diagnosed with Covid-19 after returning from the trip.

The idol herself is confirmed to be free of the virus. Though so, she is putting a stop to her schedules to serve a mandatory self-quarantine, as advised by Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We hope that everyone stays safe among the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic!
