Wanna Take Photos Like BTS & ITZY?
For those of you that are unsure about whether or not to purchase a film camera (it can get expensive!), there’s a more economical option that is still favoured by your favourite K-Pop stars! I’m talking about disposable cameras - an affordable, one-time use camera that comes pre-loaded with film! Don’t be mistaken with their simplicity, however, as they produce results favoured by trendsetters in the industry, and are frequently used backstage during concerts to capture fleeting moments. Notable users of disposable cameras include BTS, Exo’s Kai, NCT/SuperM's Mark and former X1 member Cho Seung-youn (pictured below)!
We wonder what he's taking a photo of!
Most recently, Itzy’s Chaeryeong was spotted toting it around during her trip to Paris - which speaks to the camera’s portability, with its light weight and small design perfect as a travel companion!
Perfect for candid snapshots, we recommend the Kodak Funsaver ($20-25), with a surprisingly sharp lens for its price, paired with versatile ISO 800 film.

Idols are also flocking to the Fujifilm Simple Ace ($16-$20)/Quick Snap, an easy to use alternative with film that that excels in daylight photography.

With its disposable nature, it’s widely available, and a lot cheaper than the cameras that we will feature in the future, making it a perfect and economical first step to explore the world of film photography! You can expect to pay no more than $20-$25 for any given disposable camera, depending on the model and shop visited!
Extra Note : If you want the convenience of a disposable camera, but the aesthetics of a more upscale camera, there exists a rather rare 'Fujifilm Premium Kit', which includes a reusable camera shell (to be placed over your disposable camera), as well as a handy strap - to make your camera look like one of Fuji's Compact Cameras. It's interesting, and worth a look if you want something unique!
