3 Michelin Stars
Gaon (가온)
Not to be confused with the Music Charts of the same name (though it might be an apt comparison of the high standards of the restaurant), Gaon is one of two restaurants in Seoul to be decorated with the prestigious 3-Star distinction.
Located in the affluent Gangnam neighbourhood, the food is made with the best ingredients of the season, and is even meticulously presented on Traditional Royal KwangJuYo porcelain. Overall, it is a mainstay in the Korean luxury restaurant industry, and for good reason. It is certainly worth an exceptional journey!
2 Michelin Stars
Mingles (밍글스)
Mingles expertly ‘mingles’ (heh) Japanese, Spanish and French styles of cooking with Korean cuisine in expert fashion. They use recipes that have been passed down through palace kitchens over hundreds of years to create synergistic dishes that marry the traditional with the modern.
If you find yourself in Korea, do consider Chef Kang Min-goo’s fusion cuisine - which includes his famed Doen Jang Crème Brulee! It’s no wonder he’s one of Seoul’s brightest culinary names today!

Joo Ok (주옥)
Located in the heart of Seoul’s City Hall, Joo Ok is lead by Chef Shin Chang-ho, known for his inventive curated assortment of 30 fermented condiments varieties! Serving up an exciting smorgasbord of fusion dishes along with warm service, it also offers a great view of one of the most dynamic areas of the city.
