The first game in the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) U19 Championship for both teams, Singapore had to face the toughest team in the competition, South Korea. With 12 title wins in the competition's 60 year history, South Korea would prove to be a giant mountain that the Singapore squad must climb.

Unfortunately for the young Singapore squad, South Korea blasted their way through the defense to score 11 goals at full time. With 7 of the goals being scored in the second half, it looked like Singapore's squad didn't have the stamina and pace to keep up with South Korea's constant long balls and runs. 

Singapore's next game will be against China, who went 2-0 against Myanmar. The young lions will have to buck up and not let this devastating loss affect their games to come. Meanwhile, Korea will be facing Myanmar, who have shown that they should not be taken lightly. Fans of Asian football should be excited for the results to come.
