Samyang Korea is the company that produces and manufactures Buldak Bokkeum Myun (불닭볶음면), also known as the Korean "Fire Noodles". Characterized by the chicken breathing fire on the package and the scorching hot taste, the brand of instant noodles became a sensation after it first went viral a few years back.

Now beloved by both instant noodle and spicy food lovers for its super spicy yet addictingly sweet and savory flavor, Samyang has decided to introduce that flavor to the other side of the market.

Samyang is introducing a light version of the spicy fire noodles, complete with a lighter colored package and a more innocent looking chicken cartoon mascot. Currently available only in Korea, but soon to hit the global market in due time as have the other nine flavors made by the instant noodle giant.

Claimed to be 40% less spicy than the standard fire noodle flavor, it promises to bring back the spice while retaining its signature addicting taste. Another reason why the fire noodles are so revered among instant noodle enthusiants is actually the texture and quality of the noodles themselves. Chewy and springy when cooked just right, Buldak Bokkeum Myun is more than just a spicy challenge to a lot of consumers.

Hopefully for Samyang, this new flavor inspires more people to try the noodles as a snack as opposed to a viral internet challenge!
