Chances are, you've visited Seoul - and perhaps you'll have a good idea about how living here can be.
Seoul is home to distinct neighbourhoods with their own personality and character.
You want trendy, upscale cafes? Head on down to Garosu-gil!
Want a beer and nightlife vibes with friends? One of the many University areas will do the trick! (Hongdae's my favourite).
In addition, you're never too far away from an English-speaker, as most staff in Seoul will be trained in English.
Not to mention that Koreans are also generally able to speak English well, especially in Seoul!
The city also boasts a WORLD-CLASS subway system, that's cheap and super efficient!
You'll always find boards that even detail where the train is at that very moment.
Now, on to the bad.
Seoul is notorious for its 빨리빨리 (bbali-bbali) culture, which basically means everyone is in a mad rush to do something.
It is not uncommon to get shoved aside if you're blocking a person's way - though I have not experienced this personally.
People also tend to have fast meals instead of enjoying their food, or are in a rush to close lift doors.
Also, if you're planning to live in Seoul, your accomodation will generally be on the smaller side.
Because space is at such a premium (like Singapore), you will usually live in places like Goshiwons if you'd like to save money.
Overall though, many people choose to live in Seoul due to its unique position as a 'melting pot' of all things that make Korea awesome.
It's no wonder Seoul is such a popular travel destination as well!
