BLACKPINK's first full album was released

at October 2nd, and its title track

'Lovesick Girls' has been a smashing hit.

The music video surpassed 100 million views,

and debuted at No.3 on Spotify's

Global Top 50 Charts!

However, the MV has sparked a huge

debate in Korea for a costume choice.

3 days after the release of the MV,

the Korean Health and Medical Worker’s Union

released a statement about the MV's

choice of portraying member Jennie in

a nurse costume.

Full statement from Soompi.

Following the release of this statement,

YG Entertainment decided to edit out

all scenes with the nurse uniform,

citing their desire to express respect

to all healthcare workers during this time.

The announcement brought its fair share

of BLINKS to the girl group's defence,

who felt like the outroar was targeted at

Jennie specifically, and that YG was not

doing their part in protecting their artist.

What do you think of this controversy,

and who's side are you on?
