1. Bbibbi" (삐삐) - IU
Bbibbi" (삐삐) is a song by South Korean singer-songwriter IU, released as a digital single on October 10, 2018 by Kakao M. "Bbibbi" topped all major charts in South Korea and broke the record for the most listeners in 24 hours on music service Melon, with 1.42 million. It subsequently debuted at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart. The song was released in part to commemorate 10 years since IU's debut.
2. Mayday - Crush (feat. Joy - Red Velvet)
Singer-songwriter Crush is back with a new single after releasing his last studio album, From Midnight to Sunrise, five months ago. The South Korean musician, who is known for being inspired by things in ordinary life such as the Han River at dawn or his pet dogs, focuses on the theme of "home" for his newest project, titled Homemade. It's one of the hottest new Korean chill music songs!
3. Eat(꺼내 먹어요) - Zion T
Nominated for Mnet Asian Music Award for Song of the Year, and winning Zion T the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Vocal Performance - Male, it's one of Zion T's best K-R&B/KRNB tracks, and that's saying a lot for such an accomplished artist!
4. Dream - Suzy, Baekhyun
Dream is a song recorded by South Korean singers Suzy and Baekhyun, members of K-pop groups miss A and EXO respectively. It was released digitally on January 7 and later physically on January 14, 2016 by Mystic Entertainment. Having sold over 1.3 million copies, the song received multiple accolades at major South Korean music award shows in 2016.
5. That XX (그 XX) - G-Dragon
That XX was released as the first digital single and second music video from One of a Kind. After its release, the song ranked first place in all of South Korea's major music charts and on the weekly iChart on Instiz, achieving a 'Perfect All-Kill.' That XX reached the top of the Gaon Chart for the month of September. This is the first time a 19+ song has reached the number 1 spot.
6. Blue - BIGBANG
Blue is a single by South Korean group Big Bang. It was released by YG Entertainment on February 22, 2012, as the first single from their EP Alive. Written and composed by G-Dragon and Teddy, with additional rap parts penned by T.O.P, Blue peaked atop the Gaon Digital Chart and the K-Pop Hot 100, as well as becoming their first to achieve a perfect all kill in South Korea. Blue finished 2012 as one of best-performing singles of the year in South Korea and has since been one of the best-selling singles in the country.
7. No Make Up(노메이크업) - Zion.T
No Makeup is thematically similar to his last single, “Eat.” Lyrically, both songs are about Zion. T expressing support for his significant other to be happy with who they are. Whereas “Eat” was written to help ease the stress and anxiety of everyday living, “No Makeup” tackles the societal pressure to always be put together and dressed well.
8. What 2 Do - DEAN (feat. Crush, Jeff Bernat)
What2do is a collaboration track featuring Crush, who has recently topped major music charts through his new song “Don’t Forget,” and another soulful R&B artist Jeff Bernat, who has garnered much attention with “Call You Mine. As the title implies, the song depicts an empty feeling after the breakup of a relationship accompanied by a light hip-hop beat and soft piano rhythm.
9. Galaxy (우주를 줄게) - BOL4
Winning Song Of The Year at the 2017 Korean Music Awards, it is my favourite chill Korean song from my favourite K-Pop artistes (well, artist). Soft synths accompany cute lyrics and dreamy vocals for a definitely relaxing track!
10. Instagram - Dean
At the end of 2017, Dean released the single "Instagram", which topped all local music charts in South Korea. Garnering over 50 million views on Youtube, it became one of Dean's defining hits.
11. LEO (나비와 고양이) - BOL4 (feat. Baekhyun)
Released as one of two lead tracks from the one-man band’s upcoming Youth Diary II EP, Leo is a relaxing love song that fits this warm spring season. Balanced by jazz piano and string ensemble sounds, the mellifluous song teems with an array of instruments, adding layer to the lighthearted melody. Read as “Butterfly and Cat” by its Korean title, Leo kicks off with vocalist Ahn Ji-yeong’s airy vocals and leads into Baekhyun’s part, where he delivers his soft, sleek tone.
12. Nerdy Love - pH-1 (feat. Baek Yerin)
H1GHR MUSIC‘s pH-1 released his new single and music video Nerdy Love - produced by up-and-coming producer Mokyo. The K-R&B/KRNB love song features indie singer-songwriter Yerin Baek.
13. Only Then (그때 헤어지면 돼) - Roy Kim
Only Then is the first single album by Roy Kim. It was released with an instrumental track on February 12, 2018. The love ballad proven to be a popular hit in karaoke bars in Korea.
14. Wine (오늘 취하면) - Suran (feat. Changmo)
On April 24, 2017, the singer released a digital single called Wine in a collaborative production including BTS' Suga, Slow Rabbit, Suran herself, and featuring rapper Changmo, who also co-produced. The song peaked at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart, selling over 500,000 digital downloads by the end of May.
15. And July - Heize (feat. Dean, DJ Friz)
Keeping the momentum of their collaborative success going, Heize and Dean have teamed up once again, and along with DJ Fritz, presents the lead single of Heize’s debut album, And July.
16. Yanghwa BRDG (양화대교) - Zion. T
A touching tribute to family, Yanghwa BRDG has been a favourite for many karaoke-goers ever since its release. It has since become a classic mainstay in Zion. T's discography, and a fixture in many Korean R&B/KRNB chill song playlists!
17. How Do You Think (어떻게 생각해) - CHEEZE
This saccharine-sweet title track is recorded by South Korean duo Cheeze. It was released on June 16, 2016 by Magic Strawberry sound. It got me through many long days, so I hope it helps you as well!
18. dayfly - Dean (feat. Sulli, Rad Museum)
While most Korean-pop singers are known to unleash their music video at the same time as they release their new singles, DEAN kept fans waiting nearly five months for the accompanying visual to Dayfly - but the results were worth it, and the track didn't stop being one of the best in Dean's music catalogue!
19. Like Me - pH-1
The 6th track from HALO (Home Alone Lights On), pH-1's first studio album, it was released on March 28, 2019 to widespread acclaim by K-R&B/KRNB fans worldwide!
