With news of both Singapore and Korea
enhancing safe-distancing measures
to handle COVID-19 cases,
you might be wondering what the
latest situation is in both countries!
In Korea, the new virus case count
has fallen from the once alarming 441
on August 27th to an average of 100.
For almost 2 weeks, the new virus cases
has been under 200 after strong virus curbs
were put in place in the Seoul area.
For the next 2 weeks, eased virus curbs
are expected, with eateries, large coffee chains
and other facilities to operate as per normal.
In Singapore, the new virus case count has
been under control for some time now.
The latest news being 49 new cases,
with 40 from dorms - with a new normal
looming in the horizon.
Singapore has started to arrange for
reciprocal travel arrangements, with
Japan being the latest country to do so.
With Singapore being in Phase 2,
slow steps would have to be done,
including increasing the social group
restrictions, depending on the situation,
with Phase 3 being the eventual endpoint.
We hope both countries manage
to flatten the curve, towards a return
to a pre-COVID world!
