SG To Negotiate Air Travel BUBBLES!

That's right, Singapore will be in talks
to negotiate for Air Travel Bubbles with
safe countries, an arrangement that is
different from the current green lanes
meant for business and official travellers.
These bubbles will be meant for general
travellers, including tourists, and are
part of plans to revive Singapore as
a top air hub, with the industry
decimated in recent times.
Currently, Singapore has reciprocal green lane
arrangements with Brunei, China, Malaysia,
Japan and South Korea, and it comes to
reason that these countries should be at
the top of the negotiation list.
Hong Kong has also emerged as a
country that is looking establish such
bubbles with us.
These discussions come in a ministerial
statement by Transport Minister
Ong Ye Kung, unveiling plans to
lift border restrictions in an effort to
revive air travel, as well as to maintain
Singapore as a top air hub.
