Korean fried chicken is easy to find, but this one is special.
Kko Kko Nara has been in business the longest out of all the Korean chicken restaurants,
today we will show you why.
[꼬꼬나라 KKO KKO NARA]
[Combo Chicken]
Their most popular dish, the combo chicken includes a variety of hot flavors. Crispy original, sweet and tangy soy, and spicy yangnyum. Sometimes the greasy nature of fried chicken can be hard to handle, but the chicken here oddly has the grease enhance the savory taste. If you notice, the original chicken is fried a lighter color, indicating freshness.
[Original, soy, yangnyum]
[Spicy yangnyum]
Fair warning, the spicy yangnyum sauce here packed quite a punch!
[Snack Platter]
My personal favorite, a blend of fries, sundae (Korean sausage), and tteokbokki. It is a holy trinity of Korean street food, all served on one convenient platter.
[Beautiful combination]
[Jjimdak, steamed chicken]
How can anyone resist a tender, sweet, marinated chicken? Great with rice wine, the gravy seeps into every part of the dish. Especially prominent in the noodles, the ingredients are all deliciously savory.
[Glass noodle]
[Pork trotter]
There are two prominent types of pork trotter. Thick and juicy cuts, and thin and light cuts. This one belongs to the first thick cut category, very flavorful and rich. Make sure to enjoy it with the included vegetables to keep your palette refreshed and ready for the next dish!
[Pork trotter]
One look and you can tell how tender and juicy it is!
[Fish Roe Stew]
A dish that's very hard to find in Singapore, Korean fish roe stew is a go-to soju buddy. The refreshingly spicy flavor takes away any fishiness from the roe, making the flavor all in all balanced and addicting. It is obvious that the fish roe is fresh because of the great texture!
