Why was Korea’s soccer star in tears during a football game?

South Korea and Tottenham football star Son Heung Min had a stellar game earlier this morning, as he scored two goals in Tottenham’s Champion’s League game against Serbian League Champions Red Star Belgrade! However, it was a moment of sportsmanship that prevailed - as Son elected not to celebrate after his goals, instead offering an apology to the cameras that were zoomed in on him. 

For the uninitiated, Son had been embroiled in a horrific incident, when, in a game against Everton three days ago, Son appeared to slide into the heels of Everton midfielder Andre Gomes - causing a broken ankle. The referee, who initially indicated a yellow card, changed his ruling to a red card after seeing the injury, which causes a dismissal from the game and a suspension. Tottenham had since appealed and successfully overturned the ruling, along with Son’s 3-game suspension. 

This means that Son will be available for Tottenham’s clash with Sheffield United next Monday in the Premier League. We wish him all the best for his games ahead, and for a speedy recovery to Andre Gomes????????
